Biography:
Cécile Chauvel is a researcher in biostatistics and data science at the Center of Excellence on Respiratory Pathogens (UCBL, HCL and CIRI) created in 2022. After training in theoretical statistics and holding a doctorate in biostatistics from Pierre et Marie Curie (Sorbonne University), her professional career was spent into various organizations in the private and public sectors. Her current work focuses on the modeling of epidemiological data in the field of acute respiratory infections, in particular to search for risk factors associated with these infections or to model epidemic dynamics.
